Draft Surveys are a convenient and economical means of ascertaining the quantity of cargo loaded or discharged from a vessel. The result obtained by Draft Surveys are commercially accepted on a worldwide basis and are deemed sufficiently accurate due to identical methodology at both load & discharge ports.

Therefore, by employing this method interested stake-holders e.g. Shippers,Consignee, Ship Owner, Charterers etc. can verify the quantity of the cargo endorsed on the Bills of Lading.

Accurate and careful measurement of dry-bulk cargoes such as Grain, Ores, Fertilisers, Agricultural Products, Scrap Metals etc. at both,  load and discharge,  ports can significantly reduce disputes and consequential claims and  at the load and discharge ports.
